Six U.S. Hotspots to Ring in 2015

No matter where you are ringing in 2015, travelers can be sure to find tons of holiday spirit and festive dining options at these six U.S. hotspots for New Year’s Eve:

New York City

There’s nothing like New Year’s Eve in New York City. Sofitel New York’s New Year’s Eve fête will let guests celebrate the holiday on two continents in one night at the hotel’s highly reputed Gaby Brasserie Française. Festivities will kick off at 5 p.m. with a DJ, followed by a 5:30 p.m. screening of TV Monde 5 coverage of fireworks in Paris and Champagne toast as the New Year arrives there, six hours ahead of the U.S. Revelers can enjoy two seatings for a $160 per person (not including tax and gratuity) dinner: the first from 5-6 p.m. and the second from 8:30-9:30 p.m.  The Times Square Ball Drop will, of course, be screened as of 11:30 p.m., and the revelry will continue until 2 a.m. For reservations or more information, call 212-782-3091 or visit www.gabynyrestaurant.com.

Northern New York - Adirondacks

Ringing in 2015 with those who matter most, Whiteface Lodge, the award-winning all-suite resort tucked away in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks, will throw two New Year’s Eve bashes, one for families and one for adults.

The lodge, which has become a fixture for vacationing families year-round, will cater to even its youngest guests with a night full of family and fun for all ages. The New Year’s Eve bash will kick off on Dec. 31 at 6 p.m. in The Clubhouse with a cocktail hour complete with a DJ, photo booth and entertainment. A Family Style Buffet will be served from 6-10 p.m. with selections including a cheese and fruit display, salads, roasted butternut & cider bisque, grilled breast of free range chicken with roasted potatoes and apple cider jus, and carving stations with maple glazed pit roasted black forest ham, and herb crusted prime rib of beef. For the kids, among tons of activities including caricaturists, a strolling magician, and wearable balloon creations, buffet selections will include fresh fruit and garden salads, chicken fingers, cheeseburger sliders, creamy macaroni and cheese, and a variety of desserts. Mindful of the youngster’s bedtimes, an early ball drop will ring in the New Year at 10 p.m. The party is $88 for adults and $44 for children ages 5-11 plus tax and gratuity. Scottsdale, Arizona

This New Year’s Eve the award-winning Scottsdale resort will heat up the holidays with spectacular food and entertainment. From dinner to dancing, Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain has designed three unique ways to ring in 2015, each featuring an inspired four-course feast by Executive Chef Beau MacMillan. Cape Cod, MA

Sea Crest Beach Hotel’s annual New Year’s Eve Bash will ring in 2015 on the Cape. The oceanfront celebration is a perennial hit with guests and locals alike, requiring dancing shoes and a serious appetite. Complete with a grand, American-Cape-inspired buffet by Executive Chef Daniel Kenney, live music and dancing, Sea Crest’s New Year’s Eve Package starts at just $369 with a portion of the proceeds going to the West Falmouth Library for its capital campaign. Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa, the AAA Four Diamond resort and only all-suite hotel in Palm Beach County, is serving up a New Year’s Eve bash for those looking to escape the cold for sunny Florida. Executive Chef Larry LaValley of 3800 Ocean, the inviting oceanfront gathering spot for resort guests and locals alike on Singer Island, has prepared delectable holiday menus with a side of ocean views for New Year’s Eve. New Year’s Eve at 3800 Ocean will kick off 2015 in style. A festive three-course menu will be served during two seatings from 5-7 p.m. ($65 per person) and 8-10:30 p.m. ($125 per person). The second seating includes an Amuse Bouche, complimentary Champagne toast, live entertainment, DJ and dancing until 2 a.m. Tax and gratuity are additional.

Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Thanks to new direct flights to Fort Lauderdale via Jet Blue and Virgin America, holiday travel is that much easier this year. Those in search of a laid back holiday escape can head to Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach for a New Year’s celebration at McCoy’s Oceanfront, the beachfront restaurant whose namesake pays homage to the Prohibition-era William “Bill” McCoy, prepared by Executive Chef Daniel Gerety. Complete with live entertainment by Joanna Holstein, McCoy’s will serve up a four-course New Year’s Eve Dinner (8:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.). Dinner is $65 per person plus tax and gratuity.
