Hi.

Welcome to my blog! I document my experiences in travel including drinks, fashion, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

It is almost that time again, when Chicago starts to get beautiful and warm. When everyone comes out to play, como los patos en el lago. It is my favorite and only time that I truly enjoy this city.

So, for those of you that are from Chicago or if you are planning to visit this city then here are a few recommendations of things to do in the city:

Proprietary of Traveling Latina

1. Head to navy pier on wednesdays or saturday to check out the free and beautiful fireworks.
2. Cruise the river after work hours with the chicago architectural foundation ($35 pp).
3. Head to ravinia and get lawn seats so you can enjoy a beautiful night underneath the stars, sipping to your fave wine, while listening to your fave stars like jennifer hudson, carrie underwood, among many others. Price varies per concert.
4. Go to local festivals. Some of my fave are: ribs fest, old town arts festival, and greek town festival. Most are free.
5. For you dog lovers, take your dog on a little cruise with mercury canine cruise. ($25 adult $7 dog)
6. Head to millenium park on Saturdays for a fun filled work out. 8 a.m. yoga, 9 a.m. pilates, and 10 a.m. zumba. All for free.
7. Listen to some jazz while admiring the chicago skyline at Jazz at Shedd aquarium. Check out their site for prices and schedule.
8. Make friends with someone who owns a boat, so you can cruise lake michigan and enjoy the best view of the city.
9. Run by the lake! Best summer workout by getting your fave running shoes and hitting the pavement. Especially by the north ave beach going south towards navy pier.
10. Visit the Chicago Botanic Gardens and pack a lunch to enjoy a beautiful and peaceful afternoon.

Like I said before, these are just a few of my fave but there are many more fun stuff to do in Chicago during the summer time. I'll post more later. But until then enjoy these and safe travels!
