Review: The Silver Dollar Bar & Grill (Jackson Hole, WY)

After a long day at Gran Teton (my experience with tips to come early tomorrow) we decided to dine at Silver Dollar Bar & Grill in Jackson, WY.

We ordered elk sausage, which came with a spinach potato cake and huckleberry demi glaze, it was slightly spicy but the potato with the huckleberry sauce balanced the bold flavors. It was amazing and highly recommend it.

For dinner, I ordered the almond crusted trout, which was freshly caught from Idaho. It came with fresh lemon, garlic-lemon potato hash, with a side of broccolini. Let me just say, the best fresh trout I have ever had.

In addition, one of my friends ordered the rosemary garlic rubbed buffalo filet. The waiter recommended to order it medium, and it sure was a great suggestion. The meat was lean and tender, and had an amazing flavor that is nowhere near the taste of a good steak. Did you know that buffalo is the leanest of all the meats? Yup! Next time you see it on the menu, order it!

To compliment my meal, I enjoyed a snake river valley pale ale. It was the perfect beer to have with such bold flavored dishes and it was also very smooth on the palette. In total, we spent about $72 per couple...not bad for such a delicious meal.

Highly recommend all of those that are heading to Jackson Hole to check this spot out.
